At St. Giovanni in Galilea, at the place called "La Piva," from 2010, you can visit the archaeological site of the parish church and the Church of St. Giovanni Battista. The worship building, existing from the eighth century AD, stood at the center of a cross path that connected the Uso valley with the Rubicon and the Marecchia. In this site you can see the apse of the Byzantine church, the only element survived the landslides on the west side.
More significant are the remains attributable to the Parish "nova", a Renaissance building with a 23 x 6.5 m single nave, with an apse facing east.
